The Uniform Plumbing Code, 1997 Edition, as published by Intemational <br />Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, 20001 Walnut Drive South, <br />Walnut, California, 91879, is adopted by reference thereto and incorporated into and <br />made part of the Louisville Municipal Code. The purpose and subject matter of the <br />Uniform Plumbing Code (also referred to as the UPC) include comprehensive <br />provisions regulating plumbing installations in or in connection with new and <br />existing structures and providing uniform plumbing standards for the purpose of <br />protecting the public health, safety and general welfare. Except as otherwise <br />provided herein, the Uniform Plumbing Code is adopted in full, including the <br />outline of contents, index, all chapters thereof and all of the appendices thereto as <br />stated in Section 15.16.030. In all sections of this chapter, title, or Louisville <br />Municipal Code where a reference is made to the Uniform Plumbing Code or UPC, <br />said reference shall be to the 1997 Edition of said Code. <br /> <br /> Section 4. Section 15.16.020 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby repealed and <br />reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 15.16.020.
