G. The minimum required residual pressure for a water supply to any given area shall be 20 <br />psi. In the event that a minimum water pressure of 20 psi cannot be obtained in any given <br />area, large water mains shall be installed with closer than the required minimum spacing <br />of fire hydrants to increase flow. <br />Sec.15.12.140. Key boxes required. <br />Section 506.1 of the 2009 International Fire Code is amended with the addition of this sentence: <br />All new commercial construction requires a key box to be installed. <br />Sec.15.12.150. Automatic Fire Sprinklers. <br />Section 903.2.1. is amended as follows: <br />903.2.1.1 Group A-1. 1. The number changes from 12,000 to 5,000 square feet. <br />903.2.1.2 Group A-3. 1. The number changes form 12,000 to 5,000 square feet. <br />903.2.1.3 Group A-4. 1. The number changes from 12,000 to 5,000 square feet <br />Section 9032.2 is amended as follows: <br />903.2.2 Group B. An automatic sprinkler system shall be provided for Group B occupancies <br />where the fire area exceeds 5,000 square feet. <br />Section 903.2.3 is amended as follows: <br />903.2.3 Group E. 1. The number changes form 12,000 to 5,000 square feet. <br />Section 6. <br /> Chapter 15.16 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby repealed and <br />reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows: <br />Sec. 15.16.010. Adoption. <br /> The International Plumbing Code, 2009 Edition, published by the International Code <br />Council, 4051 West Flossmoor Road, Country Club Hills, Illinois, 60478-5795, is adopted by <br />reference thereto and incorporated into and made part of the Louisville Municipal Code. The <br />purpose and subject matter of the International Plumbing Code (also referred to as the IPC) <br />include comprehensive provisions regulating plumbing installations in or in connection with new <br />and existing structures and providing International plumbing standards for the purpose of <br />protecting the public health, safety and general welfare. <br />Sec. 15.16.020 Amendments. <br /> The following amendments set forth in sections 15.16.030 through 15.16.130 are made to <br />the 2009 International Plumbing Code. <br />Sec. 15.16.030 Section P101.1 Title. <br /> 14 <br /> <br />
