Kurt Prinslow, CLC Associates, Inc., 8480 E. Orchard Road, Suite 2000, Englewood, Colorado
stated they have reviewed staff's comments, have no objections to them, and have amended the plans
to reflect the changes.

Davidson called for Council comments and questions.

Mayer expressed concem that the fifty-percent open space appears to include the interior courtyard.

Howard commended the applicant for adjusting their plans to address staff concerns/comments.
He requested additional landscaping along Dillon Road, especially around the parking lot.

Sisk suggested the applicant provide photos of similar prototypes to give Council and Planning
Commission a better idea of what the building will actually look like.

Prinslow agreed.

Sisk would like to see the wall sign eliminated and a complete sign package for Council to review.

Keany agreed with Sisk on the lighting but did not see any problems including the interior courtyard
in the open space percentage. He would like to see more color contrast between the building's roof
and brick, in order to soften the mass of the building.

William Simmons, City Administrator, expressed disappointment that the initial agreement of no
parking between the building and Dillon Road, (in order to create a park-like atmosphere,) has been
removed from this plan. He feels that the building footprint is too large for the lot.

Howard moved that Council forward the Final PUD Development Plan, Lot 4, Coal Creek Business
Park - Marriott Residence Inn - 92-Unit Extended Stay Hotel to Planning Commission with Council
comments, seconded by Levihn. All in favor.

Sisk felt that the parking issue should be resolved prior to forwarding this PUD to the Planning
Commission. He asked that a copy of the minutes for the meeting in which this was discussed be
provided to CLC Associates, Inc.

Prinslow stated that he was not present for the meeting in which this was discussed and was not
aware of the parking agreement.

CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT

Tammy Tanoue thanked the Mayor, Council and staff for their support and expressions of
condolence during the illness and recent passing of Susan Griffiths.

9
