<br />City Council <br />Special Meeting Minutes <br />February 9, 2010 <br />Page 6 of 10 <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk did not support closing Memory Square Swimming Pool. He <br />requested Council discussion on closing the library and the Recreation Center <br />one day a week. City Manager Fleming reported the closure of the Recreation <br />Center one day a week was not included on the list because it is a revenue <br />generator. Parks and Recreation Director Stevens confirmed the Recreation <br />Center fees pay 70% of its operating costs. <br /> <br />Michael Menaker, 1827 Choke Cherry Street, Louisville, CO requested the <br />portable restrooms not be taken out of the parks. He suggested a $10.00 festival <br />fee be assessed per household. He felt the public might be supportive of the fee. <br /> <br />Councilor Dalton suggested Council discuss items on the Band C items list as <br />well. Councilor Yarnell concurred. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk suggested the Council consider reducing the education and training <br />expenses and eliminating the HMO options for City employees. He did not favor <br />closing Memory Square Pool or reducing the City events. <br /> <br />Deputy City Manager Balser requested Council feedback on what cuts they <br />would not like Staff to pursue. <br /> <br />CML Executive Director Mamet asked each member of Council to list their <br />priorities. <br /> <br />Councilor Muckle supported funding for Memory Square Pool and Special <br />Transit. <br /> <br />Council Dalton favored preserving the City employee hours and funding senior <br />services and Memory Square Swimming Pool. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Marsella supported funding four days of Special Transit, <br />pursuing a Special Events Fee, furlough days for the City employees but keeping <br />in the training expenses. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk supported maintaining the City Staff, cutting HMO Insurance, keeping <br />Memory Square Swimming Pool open, funding Special Transit, and cutting the <br />senior meals by one day. <br /> <br />Councilor Sackett indicated he supported Mayor Sisk's list of items. <br /> <br />Councilor Yarnell supported finding common ground for funding of community <br />events. <br /> <br />Councilor Clabots favored keeping Memory Square Swimming Pool open, cutting <br />
