<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 2, 2010 <br />Page 4 of 12 <br /> <br />· Mountainside Mediical has decided to relocate to Louisville. <br />· Intertek has signed a Ilease to locate in the Colorado Tech Center and will <br />not pursue their Business Assistance Package offered by the City. <br />· A new Business Assistance Package will be presented at the April 6, 2010 <br />meeting and perha.ps more to follow. <br />· Staff is working on po1tential tenants for the Post Office building. Council <br />may be presented with two proposals in April. <br />· ConocoPhillips is on track to undertake construction next year. <br />· BRAD completed ~31 Business Retention Visits in 2009, focusing on <br />primary employers in the Colorado Tech Center and Centennial Valley. <br />· Ricco's Burritos is moving to another location in Centennial Valley; one <br />closer to the Theaters. <br />· The Colony Theatres are currently in negotiation to be purchased by the <br />AMC Theatre Group. <br />. A small coffee roasters business will open soon in Centennial Valley. <br />. A German Company, who performs tests on solar panels, is looking to <br />locate in the Colorado Tech Center. <br />. Another unnamed manufacturer may be locating in the CTC. <br />. Two companies have decided not to locate in the City. <br /> <br />Councilor Muckle asked the Economic Development Director to explain AMC <br />practices when acquiring movie theatres. Economic Development Director Star <br />explained AMC has announced it will close all 8-plex and smaller theatres. <br />Fortunately Louisville's theatre complex is a 12-plex and has recently been <br />upgraded to digital projection technology. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE No. 1567, SERIES 2010 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE <br />17 OF THE lOUISVlllE: MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING THE CREATION <br />OF VESTED PROPERTY RIGHTS - 2nd Reading - Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1567, Series 2010. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk opened the publiic hearing. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light explained the Planning Commission was to consider this <br />ordinance on February 2~5, 2010, but because of the late hour, continued the item <br />to March 11, 2010. Staff recommended continuing Ordinance No. 1567, Series <br />2010 to the March 16, 2010 meeting. This will allow the City Council to consider <br />the Planning Commission's !recommendation on the ordinance. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to continue the seconded reading of Ordinance No. <br />1567, Series 2010 to 4:30 p.m. on March 16,2010. Councilor Sackett seconded. <br />All were in favor. Absent: Councilors Dalton and Yarnell. <br />
