Councilor Muckle asked if loc:al golfers would be granted a special discount program. Mr. Health explaim~d there is a golfer loyalty discount program for residents. He noted local gollfers would never pay more than other golfers. Councilor Sackett felt it is time to put the problems in the past and move forward. He stated the entire community shares in the enjoyment of the golf course, either by golfing or walking the trails. The golf course makes Louisville a better place. Mayor Sisk stressed the importance of moving forward with the agreement and suggested incorporating the !resolution into the agreement and setting the approval on the first meeting in April. Mr. Heath noted WGP has not seen the resolution and requested an opportunity to review it. Mayor Sisk €!xplained it has not been published yet, but WGP will have an opportunity to review the resolution prior to the April meeting. There was Council discussion relative to adding language to the agreement to form a Golf Course Advisory Board; listing Western Golf Properties capital improvement plan and thHir vision to turnaround the golf course. Mr. Health voiced concern over the specificity of the requested timeline for capital improvements. City Attorney Light recited Councilor Sackett's February 16 motion to approve the contract, including the two revisions cited by the City Manager; authorization for the Mayor to sign the document on behalf of the City; direction to the City Staff to bring the City Council a draft resolution to form an advisory board, laying out the rules and responsibilities of the board members. City Attorney Light requested a friendly amendment to direct Staff to bring back the draft resolution for thE! March 16 or April 6 City Council meeting. He also requested an additional friendly amendment to authorize the Mayor to approve non-substantive corrections to the agreement. Councilor Sackett and Mayor Pro T em Marsella accepted the amendments. Councilor Muckle offered a friendly amendment to add the following additions to the contract: WGP's vision for the golf course; a list of recognized capital improvement projects and a provision of a Golf Course Advisory Board. Councilor Sackett and MayOlr Pro Tem Marsella did not accept the amendment. City Attorney Light explained the draft resolution regarding the Advisory Board cannot be acted upon this evening. It would come back in its final form at a later meeting. Councilor Muclkle withdrew his friendly amendment.
