Mr. Health explaim~d there is a golfer loyalty discount program for <br />residents. He noted local gollfers would never pay more than other golfers. <br /> <br />Councilor Sackett felt it is time to put the problems in the past and move forward. <br />He stated the entire community shares in the enjoyment of the golf course, either <br />by golfing or walking the trails. The golf course makes Louisville a better place. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk stressed the importance of moving forward with the agreement and <br />suggested incorporating the !resolution into the agreement and setting the <br />approval on the first meeting in April. <br /> <br />Mr. Heath noted WGP has not seen the resolution and requested an opportunity <br />to review it. Mayor Sisk €!xplained it has not been published yet, but WGP will <br />have an opportunity to review the resolution prior to the April meeting. <br /> <br />There was Council discussion relative to adding language to the agreement to <br />form a Golf Course Advisory Board; listing Western Golf Properties capital <br />improvement plan and thHir vision to turnaround the golf course. Mr. Health <br />voiced concern over the specificity of the requested timeline for capital <br />improvements. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light recited Councilor Sackett's February 16 motion to approve the <br />contract, including the two revisions cited by the City Manager; authorization for <br />the Mayor to sign the document on behalf of the City; direction to the City Staff to <br />bring the City Council a draft resolution to form an advisory board, laying out the <br />rules and responsibilities of the board members. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light requested a friendly amendment to direct Staff to bring back <br />the draft resolution for thE! March 16 or April 6 City Council meeting. He also <br />requested an additional friendly amendment to authorize the Mayor to approve <br />non-substantive corrections to the agreement. Councilor Sackett and Mayor Pro <br />T em Marsella accepted the amendments. <br /> <br />Councilor Muckle offered a friendly amendment to add the following additions to <br />the contract: WGP's vision for the golf course; a list of recognized capital <br />improvement projects and a provision of a Golf Course Advisory Board. <br />Councilor Sackett and MayOlr Pro Tem Marsella did not accept the amendment. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light explained the draft resolution regarding the Advisory Board <br />cannot be acted upon this evening. It would come back in its final form at a later <br />meeting. Councilor Muclkle withdrew his friendly amendment. <br />
