Both Resolutions were approved by Council at the August 4, 1998, City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Davidson opened the Public Hearing and called for anyone in the audience wishing to speak on <br />Ordinance No. 1283. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />Davidson closed the Public Hearing and called for Council comments and questions. <br /> <br />Lathrop moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1283, Series 1998, An Ordinance Authorizing <br />and Relating to the Payment of City Moneys for the Acquisition of Vacant Real Estate, Water Rights <br />and a Conservation Easement, for Open Space, Conservation, and Right-of-Way Purposes, seconded <br />by Howard. <br /> <br />Roll call was taken. Motion passed by 6-0 vote. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 43, SERIES 1998 - FINAL PUD DEVELOPMENT PLAN, 728 MAIN <br /> STREET (continued from 7/21/98) <br /> <br />Davidson stated that Council has received a letter from the applicant requesting a continuation to the <br />September 1, 1998, City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Davidson called for public comments. <br /> <br />Casandra Volpe, 318 Tyler Avenue, Louisville, Colorado, stated she is a member of the Louisville <br />Historical Commission and a professional archivist. She repeated a conversation she recently had <br />with a new resident to Louisville, who moved here because of Louisville's 'charming, western, <br />small-town atmosphere.' She requested that Council consider a moratorium on new buildings <br />downtown until a preservation plan and design guideline are approved by Council. <br /> <br />Linda Armantrout, 817 Pine Street, Louisville, Colorado, stated that she has been following the <br />process on 728 Main Street since the Planning Commission stage, expecting to oppose the project, <br />and instead has become a fan. She feels Main Street is one of the reasons people move to Louisville. <br />She hopes that Council will not make it difficult for small business owners to grow and flourish <br />downtown, or place future parking problems on this one project. She encouraged Council to pass <br />Resolution No. 43 for 728 Main Street. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council comments and questions. <br /> <br />Mayer moved to continue Resolution No. 43, Series 1998 - Final PUD Development Plan, Business <br />Answers, 728 Main Street to the September 1, 1998, City Council meeting, seconded by Keany. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />
