PAGE THREE <br />SUBJECT: UPDATE/DISCUSSION - BUILDING CODE BOARD OF APPEALS (BCBOA) <br />DATE: MAY 25, 2010 <br />been spent researching programs from all over the nation as well as the local programs. It has <br />been a difficult process as the green building is developing so rapidly. The local programs <br />continue to be in a rewrite mode and the national programs are extremely complicated. The <br />BCBOA in conjunction with the Planning / Building Division has come to the conclusion that a <br />more streamlined more specific to Louisville programneeds to be developed. The intent if we <br />receive appropriate funding is to have this completed by the end of 2010 or early 2011. <br />III.Adoption of Building Code Amendments <br />Objective: <br /> To clarify by amendments specific code requirements for Louisville. <br />Summary: <br /> These are items that need clarification or that the BCBOA feel need changed <br />relative to Louisville. An ordinance will be submitted later this year. <br />IV.Monitor Residential Fire Sprinkler Discussion in Colorado and Nationally <br />Objective: <br /> To monitor state and local jurisdictions with regard to legislation and code revisions. <br />Summary: <br /> This item still is tied up in the State Legislature and there may be some national <br />code revisions at the 2012 Code hearings this month in Dallas. We will continue to monitor <br />closely. <br />V.Create Work Plan for Conoco Phillips <br />Objective: <br /> To create a work plan with Conoco Phillips so that we can handle the volume of <br />plan review and inspection in an appropriate time frame. <br />Summary: <br /> We will be meeting with Conoco Phillips Construction Manager to insure a smooth <br />transition from Planning to Permitting. <br />ATTACHMENT: <br />1.
