Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />April 8, 2010 <br />Page 5 of 10 <br />Markel stated they would be living units above commercial. <br />Members of the Public: <br />None heard. <br />Staff and Applicant Summary and Recommendation: <br />None heard. <br />Public Hearing Closed Commission Comments: <br />Sheets expressed concern with the trading of the townhome unit to single family <br />but she will vote in support of the request. <br />Pritchard, Brauneis, Loo and Russell stated their support of the request. <br />Lipton stated his support of the request with a word of caution to the applicant <br />that such a request might not work again. He believes the townhome units are <br />important to Louisville because they offer a more affordable housing unit, <br />especially for the first time home buyer or the empty nester. <br />O’Connell stated her support of the request and she likes the live/work element in <br />the commercial area. <br />Pritchard moved and Loo seconded a motion to approve Resolution No. 08, <br />Series 2010, a resolution recommending approval of a re-plat of Block 6 and 7, of <br />the North End Subdivision and an amendment to the general development plan <br />(GDP) and final planned unit development (PUD), to allow for 16 single-family <br />detached homes with the following two conditions: <br />1) Add a note under the “PUD Dimensional and Bulk Standards” table (on <br />sheet P-2) that states “70% lot coverage is permitted for lots under 4,000 <br />SF. All lots 4,000 SF and above shall have minimum lot coverage of 55%.” <br />2) Add the following notes to the Trail Modification Cross Section on Sheet 2 <br />of the Final Plat and Concept Plans: <br />a. All re-grading for trail modifications shall be re-seeded with the <br />native seed mix specified on the original plans and follow all <br />requirements of the Reclamation Standards for Disturbances on <br />City of Louisville Open Space Lands. <br />b.
