Planning Commission
Meeting Minutes
April 8, 2010
Markel stated they would be living units above commercial.
Members of the Public:
None heard.
Staff and Applicant Summary and Recommendation:
None heard.
Public Hearing Closed Commission Comments:
Sheets expressed concern with the trading of the townhome unit to single family
but she will vote in support of the request.
Pritchard, Brauneis, Loo and Russell stated their support of the request.
Lipton stated his support of the request with a word of caution to the applicant
that such a request might not work again. He believes the townhome units are
important to Louisville because they offer a more affordable housing unit,
especially for the first time home buyer or the empty nester.
O’Connell stated her support of the request and she likes the live/work element in
the commercial area.
Pritchard moved and Loo seconded a motion to approve Resolution No. 08,
Series 2010, a resolution recommending approval of a re-plat of Block 6 and 7, of
the North End Subdivision and an amendment to the general development plan
(GDP) and final planned unit development (PUD), to allow for 16 single-family
detached homes with the following two conditions:
1) Add a note under the “PUD Dimensional and Bulk Standards” table (on
sheet P-2) that states “70% lot coverage is permitted for lots under 4,000
SF. All lots 4,000 SF and above shall have minimum lot coverage of 55%.”
2) Add the following notes to the Trail Modification Cross Section on Sheet 2
of the Final Plat and Concept Plans:
a. All re-grading for trail modifications shall be re-seeded with the
native seed mix specified on the original plans and follow all
requirements of the Reclamation Standards for Disturbances on
City of Louisville Open Space Lands.
b. All requirements, including but not limited to materials, compaction,
slope and clearance, specified on the original trail detail shall apply
to all trail modifications.
Roll Call Vote:
NameVote
Jeff Lipton Yes
Chris Pritchard Yes
Susan S.
