410 110 Councilman McDonald asked lbs. Pets if someone told her that if the amendment was approved she would be allowed to put in a day care center in a commercial area. ORDINAJCI 0507 COST'D She stated that Mr. Stephan had informed her that if it was approved she could put in the day care center, and on that she closed the deal. Mr. Jun reinterated that his advice to the realtor was to wait until the final action was taken on the amendment before closing on the deal. Councilman Domenico stated that if Mr. Stephan had informed Mrs. Pets to that manner then situation should be checked into further. Be stated that he did not feel the care centers should be restricted as there are many people who work and need sitters . Councilman DiCarlo stated that there are several homes on that block; he asked what the classification of the center was; if it would be under the • classification of business. Mr. Drum stated that the definition was taken from the state. He also stated that the classification would not be under school, but may or may not be classified under bu.iness. Councilman DiLorenzo stated that the city is grtiwing and the City can not always be changing ordinances and re- quested council to consider this. Mr. Wur1 stated that the change could be limited to the CC district which would only be down town and the shopping area on the Friet Federal site. After d,scussion Councilman DiCarlo moved that Ordinance #507 be adopted amending Section 6, and Child Care Center to a special review use under Community Commercial district. Seconded by Councilman McDonald. Roll call. Domenico no, PiCarlo yes, DiLorenzo yes, Caranci yes, McDonald yes, DelPizzo yes. Motion carried. -4-
