Seconded by <br /> Councilman Domenico. Motion carried. <br /> APPIRM&TIVB ACTION Mr. Drumm stated that he felt the IRO/ <br /> PROGRAM Affirmative Action Program should be adopted <br /> by the City. ,Be stated that he did not know <br /> of any specific guidelines that have been <br /> established eo the City has taken examples <br /> and modified them to fit our situation. Be <br /> stated that the critical element is that the <br /> • <br /> City is an equal opportunity employment pro- <br /> gram. It does not state in the plan that they <br /> will accept a certain percentage of any <br /> group; everyone will be considered equally. <br /> Mr. Mwrl noted that no action bad to be taken <br /> at this time; however, the staff would welcome <br /> any comments or suggestions. <br /> Councilman belpizao stated that he was not in <br /> favor of the plans. <br /> Mr. Murl stated that the plan does not state <br /> that a certain amount of minorities had to <br /> be hired and that the officer can be anyone <br /> who is designated. <br /> L.H.A. SENIOR Mr. Steve Anderson stated that the project will <br /> CITIZEN ROUSING be tax exempt and that the City needs a <br /> Cooperation of Agreement to go into the second <br /> application to TEA which states that the City <br /> is aware of the law. <br /> Councilman McDonald moved that the Mayor be <br /> authorized to sign the Cooperation of Agree- <br /> ment document pertaining to the tax exempt <br /> statute. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. <br /> All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Anderson stated that the first part of the <br /> material is the original contract between the <br /> Rousing Authority and the City of Louisville. <br /> George Clayton h Assoc. are architects for <br /> the project; and the Housing Authority has <br /> had several meeting with them on the plans <br /> of the project. Re stated that there were some <br /> items changed in the original agreement. <br />
