She stated that <br /> this process usually would take about 15 Minutes and.regwsted 15 <br /> minutes parking signs be Allowed on Main Street for her clientele. <br /> • <br /> Mrs. Hill, Lafayette, stated that her child attends Fantasy Land, and <br /> stressed to the Commission how unsafe it is the have to park on a side <br /> street and walk down an icy alley with small children. <br /> STAFF REVIEW <br /> City Planner Dennis Drumm stated that it was the Staff's recommenda- <br /> tion that the 15 minute parking signs not be addressed at this time. <br /> H. stated that all day parking along Main Street has been a problem <br /> for some time. Staff will do an analysts on this problem. <br /> COMMISSION COMMENT <br /> Gary Carnival stated that Hain Street parking for unloads children <br /> could be a dangerous situation. He felt that some onsiterovements <br /> could be done to provide more parking to the rear of the builp p $ h t ding. <br /> Dennis Ferrera stated that should the "sign in" policy could become <br /> lax and Main Street parking could prove to be a hazard to children. <br /> Ms. Avore stated that she could not create more parking spaces by re- <br /> ducing the size of the yard. She is required to have some many square <br /> feet be child, for running room. She also stated that the "sign in" <br /> policy will not become lax. If a parent become lax and does not <br /> sign in their child they will be asked to disenroll. <br /> City Planner Drumm read Planning Commission Resolution No. 3, Series <br /> 1978, a resolution recommending City Council amendment of the Special <br /> Review Use Permit allowing the operation of a pre-school and limited <br /> day care facility at 932 Main Street. <br /> Howard Berry moved that Planning Resolution #3, Series 1978 be adopted <br /> and forwarded to City Council. The motion was seconded by Mae Toledo. <br /> Roll Call Vote: Connors - yes, Berry - yes, Ferrera - yes, Toledo - <br /> yes, Carnival - no Dhisux - yes. <br /> The motion carried by a 5-1 vote. <br /> CONTINENTAL VIEW ESTATES <br /> David Suitts and Mr. Jack Haines were present to request that the <br /> Planning Commission set a public hearing to consider the Preliminary <br /> Plat and PUD Plan for Continental View Estates. <br /> Howard Berry moved that the Planning Commission set a public hearing <br /> to consider Preliminary Plat and PUD Plan for Continental View Estates <br /> for ?'march 14, 1978 at 7:30 P.M. The motion was seconded by Bob <br /> Connors. The motion carried. <br /> 4. <br />
