PAGE 7 <br /> ORDINANCE #593 Attorney Joss stated that at Councilman <br /> FAILURE TO RETURN Caranci's request on first reading to have <br /> LIBRARY PROPERTY WITHIN the ordinance amended to add the last sentence <br /> THIRTY(30) DAYS referring to the penalty. <br /> Councilman DiLorenso moved that Ordinance <br /> #593 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman <br /> Meier. Roll Call vote - DelPissa, yes, <br /> Meier yes, DiLorenzo yes, DiCarlo yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> ORDINANCE #598 Attorney Joss informed Council the ordinance <br /> HIGH WIND FENCE was prepared at the request of Councilman <br /> FIRST (1st) READING Meier and deals with solid wood fences within <br /> the City limits. Read by title only. <br /> Councilman DelPizzo asked where the City allows <br /> fences 6' or higher to be constructed? Director <br /> Drumm stated 6' was as high as you can go un- <br /> less it is for security or recreational <br /> purposes. Councilman DelPizzo then asked <br /> if there was some restrictions on visibility. <br /> Administrator Wurl stated this is true of inter- <br /> sections for visual clearance. After a lengthy <br /> discussion between Council members, Director <br /> Drumm suggested that the fence portion of the <br /> zoning ordinance be brought before Council <br /> next meeting to avoid all the confusion. He <br /> went on to explain this particular ordinance <br /> dealt with construction, if the height of the <br /> fence or the open area of the fence in the <br /> front yards, that would properly be done <br /> under the zoning ordinance. <br /> Councilman DiLorenzo moved that Ordinance <br /> #598 be published. Seconded by Councilman <br /> Meier. Question called for. 3 ayes, DelPizzo <br /> opposed. Motion carried. <br /> FIRE DISTRICT ELECTION Attorney Joss stated this item was included <br /> with the City Administrator's report. He <br /> reported that Judge Neighbors signed the <br /> order June 5, 1978, creating the new fire <br /> district, and the notices are being filed with <br /> the various County sources. <br />
