PAGE 7 ORDINANCE #593 Attorney Joss stated that at Councilman FAILURE TO RETURN Caranci's request on first reading to have LIBRARY PROPERTY WITHIN the ordinance amended to add the last sentence THIRTY(30) DAYS referring to the penalty. Councilman DiLorenso moved that Ordinance #593 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman Meier. Roll Call vote - DelPissa, yes, Meier yes, DiLorenzo yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. ORDINANCE #598 Attorney Joss informed Council the ordinance HIGH WIND FENCE was prepared at the request of Councilman FIRST (1st) READING Meier and deals with solid wood fences within the City limits. Read by title only. Councilman DelPizzo asked where the City allows fences 6' or higher to be constructed? Director Drumm stated 6' was as high as you can go un- less it is for security or recreational purposes. Councilman DelPizzo then asked if there was some restrictions on visibility. Administrator Wurl stated this is true of inter- sections for visual clearance. After a lengthy discussion between Council members, Director Drumm suggested that the fence portion of the zoning ordinance be brought before Council next meeting to avoid all the confusion. He went on to explain this particular ordinance dealt with construction, if the height of the fence or the open area of the fence in the front yards, that would properly be done under the zoning ordinance. Councilman DiLorenzo moved that Ordinance #598 be published. Seconded by Councilman Meier. Question called for. 3 ayes, DelPizzo opposed. Motion carried. FIRE DISTRICT ELECTION Attorney Joss stated this item was included with the City Administrator's report. He reported that Judge Neighbors signed the order June 5, 1978, creating the new fire district, and the notices are being filed with the various County sources.
