Franklin explained that there were certain
items related to this alley vacation that have
been pending for several months and recommended
that Council vote to deny the granting of this
ordinance. If the applicant can provide the
necessary information at a later date, another
ordinance will at that time be introduced.
Mayor Fauson opened the pUblic hearing and
asked if anyone was present who wished to
speak to this Ordinance. There was no one
Wishing to speak and the Mayor closed the
public hearing.
Mayor Fauson called for a motion.
Sackett moved and Scarpella seconded to deny
Ordinance #998, Series 1989. Staff tried to clarify certain of
these points and discussed with Council members
and Council-elect these issues. Stahl stated
that it has become apparent that it appears the
Ordinance will probably not "come to closure as
it is presented" and recommends that the new
Council deal with the issues after they take
office. Staff recommends Ordinance #1015 be
tabled until January 16, 1990.
Mayor Fauson opened the pUblic hearing and
concurred with Stahl's recommendation.
Dominic DeSantis, 1045 Front Street, asked to
speak to the issue stating that it is his
opinion that certain amendments contained
within this Ordinance are unacceptable. Mr.
DeSantis reviewed amendments he felt were
3
