Mr. McKee stated that he was surprised <br /> to hear so much discussion since there <br /> was so little with the 1407 acre annex- <br /> ation. • <br /> Councilman Meier responded that there was <br /> much more studying and detailed reading <br /> and review involved with':the larger annex- <br /> ation. <br /> Councilman Caranci stated that he did not like <br /> the statements _ _ made that the City did <br /> not give people the opportunity to <br /> speak, when several lengthy public hearings <br /> were held and everyone was allowed to <br /> speak. <br /> 2. Credibility of the developer was <br /> commented on by Mr. McKee. <br /> Councilman DiCarlo stated that he ques- <br /> tioned credibility when a group makes <br /> insinuations about secret meetings of the <br /> City officials. <br /> Councilman Kilker stated that he did not <br /> want to be accused of going to the meeting <br /> with his mind made up on the issues. <br /> City Planner Drumm stated that the pro- <br /> posed 13 acre annexation being discussed <br /> was included in the overall plan for the <br /> shopping center. It will allow the City <br /> to honor their commitment for the 1500 <br /> foot buffer zone. <br /> It is no deviation of the prior plan <br /> and the Planning Commission recommended <br /> approval of the annexation and zoning <br /> at a prior meeting after the public hearing. <br /> ACTION ON ORDINANCES Mayor Waschak closed the public hearing. <br /> Councilman Berry moved that Ordinance No <br /> 642 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 642 DelPizzo. Roll call. DelPizzo yes. <br /> Berry yes. Caranci yes, Kilker yes, Meier <br /> yes, Caranci yes. Motion carried. <br /> • <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 643 Councilman DiCarlo moved that Ordinance <br /> No. 643 be adopted. Seconded by Council- <br /> man Meier. Roll call. Caranci yes, <br /> Meier yes, Kilker yes, DelPizzo yes, <br /> Berry yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. <br />
