Mr. McKee stated that he was surprised to hear so much discussion since there was so little with the 1407 acre annex- ation. • Councilman Meier responded that there was much more studying and detailed reading and review involved with':the larger annex- ation. Councilman Caranci stated that he did not like the statements _ _ made that the City did not give people the opportunity to speak, when several lengthy public hearings were held and everyone was allowed to speak. 2. Credibility of the developer was commented on by Mr. McKee. Councilman DiCarlo stated that he ques- tioned credibility when a group makes insinuations about secret meetings of the City officials. Councilman Kilker stated that he did not want to be accused of going to the meeting with his mind made up on the issues. City Planner Drumm stated that the pro- posed 13 acre annexation being discussed was included in the overall plan for the shopping center. It will allow the City to honor their commitment for the 1500 foot buffer zone. It is no deviation of the prior plan and the Planning Commission recommended approval of the annexation and zoning at a prior meeting after the public hearing. ACTION ON ORDINANCES Mayor Waschak closed the public hearing. Councilman Berry moved that Ordinance No 642 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman ORDINANCE NO. 642 DelPizzo. Roll call. DelPizzo yes. Berry yes. Caranci yes, Kilker yes, Meier yes, Caranci yes. Motion carried. • ORDINANCE NO. 643 Councilman DiCarlo moved that Ordinance No. 643 be adopted. Seconded by Council- man Meier. Roll call.
