411 410 <br /> FORESTRY GRANT Council voiced their concerns about <br /> CONTINUED people off of Main being upset that <br /> they are not given the same opportunities <br /> • <br /> to have their trees tried or new ones <br /> planted. <br /> Mr. Stahl stated that they need to de- <br /> sigrLste a certain area to work on. <br /> • <br /> Councilman Berry stated that one place <br /> that will need trees is near Main St. <br /> and Griffith where the plans are to <br /> widen Main which will destroy many <br /> matures trees up there. <br /> After discussion Councilman Caranci <br /> moved that David Stahl be authorized to <br /> apply for a $5,000 grant for new trees <br /> and trimming of existing. Seconded <br /> by Councilman DelPizzo. Motion carried. <br /> VARRA ENTERPRISES Mr. Wurl stated that he received a letter <br /> WATER .TAP REQUEST from Mr. Jack varra to purchase a 1" <br /> water tap for 2130 So. 96th which would <br /> have to be approved by Council. <br /> Mr. Wurl stated that the fee would be <br /> double because the location is outside <br /> the City limits. <br /> Mr. Wuri stated that the City would as- <br /> sure STC and Mizel that their portion ' <br /> of the pipeline rebate would be collected <br /> prior to the installation of the tap. <br /> Councilman Caranci did not feel that he <br /> would need a 1" tap and would like the <br /> engineering staff to do a study. <br /> Mr. Wurl stated that in the past a per- <br /> son was sold what ever size tap they <br /> desired. <br /> Councilman DelPizzo moved that Jack <br /> Varra be allowed to purchase a 1" water <br /> tap subject to working out the rebate <br /> for STC and Mizel. Seconded by Coun- <br /> cilman Meier. Roll call. DiCarlo yes. <br /> Meier yea, Caranci yes, DelPizzo yes, <br /> Kilker yes, Berry yes. Motion carried. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE Mr. Wurl reviewed correspondence. <br /> APPROVAL CITY ADMLNISTRATOR <br /> REPORT Councilman DelPizzo moved that the City <br /> Administrator's report be accepted and <br /> placed on file.
