411 41, ORDINANCE NO. 649 Mr. Jim Hillhouse, representing the CONTINUED applicant stated that there is approx- imately 10. 3 acres and the zoning re- quested is R-L. There were no other comments for or against. Mr. Drumm stated that the Planning Commission approved the request and recommended that Council approve it also. He also stated that the area up for annexation is surrounded on three sides by the City limits. With no other comments, Mayor Waschak closed the public hearing. Mr. Drumm stated that staff has seen some preliminary plans for the area with the single family dwellings being in the center and multi family units on the perimeter, staff would like to have the higher density in the center and • single family on the perimeter. . He noted that 7,000 sq. ft. lots are required and after dedication is made there will be approximately 4 units to the acre. ORDINANCE NO. 650 Attorney Joss stated that due to the re- HIGHFILL ZONING REQUEST scheduling of the June 19, council meet- RESCHEDULE PUBLIC HEARING ing to June 26, 1979, the public hearing notice was only published 13 days in advance and it needs to be advertised at least 15 days prior to the hearing; therfore, he recommended that Council reschedule the public hearing for August 21, 1979. Councilman Kilker moved that the public hearing on Ordinance #650 be rescheduled for August 21, 1979. Seconded by Coun- cilman Berry. Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 652 Attorney Joss read Ordinance No. 652 EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION on second reading by title only. SECOND READING Councilman Caranci moved that Ordinance No. 652 be adopted.
