a Ilk <br /> 7/20/82 Page -6- <br /> Discussion by Councilmembers - all in general <br /> agreement. <br /> AMEND ORDINANCE #768 - OPTION Councilman Leery moved, Councilwoman Morris <br /> uF ELDERLY TO APPLY FOR REBATE seconded that Ordinance #768 be amended to <br /> allow elderly recipients the option of having <br /> their water refund check combined with their <br /> property tax refund check if they so wish. <br /> Councilman Cussen Commented he felt that on the public's right <br /> to know issue, it set one against the other, <br /> staff where their salaries are published, <br /> and then this other group of citizens we <br /> are asking to be treated differently. He <br /> expressed concern in this respect . <br /> Councilman Leary Commented he was not certain this was the <br /> same issue as the City was not paying salaries <br /> to the elderly, but a rebate on the money <br /> they paid to the City. <br /> Mayor Meier Commented that if any of the public wished <br /> to check the application of an elderly per- <br /> son who had applied, the Finance Department <br /> would have this infor:,ation available. <br /> Attorney Rautenstraus advised the published <br /> payment at any time would meet the require- <br /> ment. <br /> AMENDMENT APPROVED Question called for on the motion. 5 Ayes. <br /> Councilman Cussen dissenting. Will serve the electrical <br /> loads of STC, the proposed Centennial Valley <br /> Mall, CTC and provide relief to Lafayette <br /> and Broomfield substations and will be the <br /> only substation needed to serve the projected <br /> needs of Louisville, <br />
