Mayor Fauson moved that the Public Works
Department be authorised to obtain staled bids for
the 1986 Chip Seal Program. Mohr seconded.
Unanimous.
CONSIDERATION OF REST -
VARRA COMPANIES, INC. Bundley pulled this item from the Consent Calendar
for Council discussion regarding a request from
Varra Companies, Inc. to use stockpiled material
from the /Carper Lake Reservoir project. This
material is located west of McCaslin Blvd., across
from Harper Lake. According to Varra Companies,
Inc., the material was stockpiled, in part, for
their possible use on the So. Boulder Road
project. This arrangement was originally agreed
to because Varra allowed the excavation of Harper
Lake to be done under their mining permit for the
area. Phare explained that there is no
anticipated use of the material by the City.
If this request is approved, Varra will be
responsible for re-topsoiling and seeding the
disturbed areas. It is Varra's intention to have
the dirt out of the area in one or two weeks.
Council further requested that dust abatement
procedures be a stipulation in the approval of
this request.
Kohr moved that Varra Companies be allowed to
remove stockpiled material from the Harper Lake
Reservoir project with the two aforementioned
stipulations. Scarpella seconded. Unanimous.
TROUSIL REQUEST Mayor Fauson related that he had received a letter
from Mr. R. H. Trousil regarding annexation of a
piece of property located at 9669 Empire Drive.
Mayor Fauson explained to Mr. Trousil that this
would be on the Agenda for the next Council
Meeting, February 18, 1986.
PUBLIC COMMENTS None.
COUNCIL COMMENTS AND
COMMITTEE REPORTS Mohr related to Council that there was a joint
9x470 Task Force/Consortium of Cities Meeting held
this past week to update members on the W470
report which will be issued very shortly. When
the report has been distributed, Mohr and Anderson
will discuss aspects of the study with Council.
Szymanski asked for an update on the Clusterbox
project. Wanush explained that one set of boxes
had been turned to date and that another set near
6
