As part of this process, the
Planning Commission has given approval to a sub-
division defining the site and has approved an
amendment to the Centennial Valley General
Development Plan. both of these actions need
final Council approval. However, prior to such
approval, all required documents and agreements
should be in final fora. Presented was the draft
agreement for review by Council. Any recommended
changes or amendments should be finalized. Staff
will then develop final documents to be submitted
to Council and the School Board. The subdivision
and Plan Amendment will be presented to Council at
the same tide.
wanush reviewed the specifics of the Agreement and
asked Council for recommended changes. One provi-
sion states that the School District agrees to
construct a gym in the new elementary school that
is equivalent to high school standards including
shower facilities (which are not normally part of
an elementary school)for the use of the City.
Also, they agreed to provide storage facilities
exclusively for the use of the City. They agreed
to construct one soccer field and one softball
field for use in City programs during non-school
hours. The Agreement gives the City the right to
review and comment on the initial and final design
of these facilities plus the parking lot location
and design. Wanush commented that normally the
School District does not have to come through the
normal review procedures, i.e., T4D or site de-
sign. They have the right to build in that
zoning, but with this agreement the City has some
means of reviewing these items.
2
