Louisville Chamber of Commerce are encouraged to <br /> attend the meeting. <br /> CDBG BOARD - LETTERS OF <br /> INTEREST Mayor Fauson received two letters of interest to <br /> serve on the CDDG board and asked that they be <br /> contacted for Council interview just prior to <br /> Council's Work Session on April 29th. <br /> CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br /> ACTIVITIES Mohr presented an outline of the Economic <br /> Development Activities for March and April, 1987. <br /> Along those activities was a reception in San <br /> Francisco for 1200 attendees at the DMA-Hybridosa <br /> Congress. Colorado is targeting as a prime job- <br /> creation/job-retention area. A $24,126 contract <br /> was awarded from the Boulder County Economic <br /> Development Program. Several other activities <br /> were listed on this report and monthly reports <br /> will hence be available to detail economic <br /> development activities. <br /> Eugene Caranci was hired as new Executive Director <br /> and will begin work June 8th. <br /> WINDMILL POINTE MEETING RE: <br /> WINDOW REPLACEMENT A letter has been received from Jane Monson <br /> concerning a meeting that is being held April 30th <br /> regarding problems with windows in hoses in the <br /> Windmill Pointe Subdivision. Several Councilmen- <br /> bars will be attending as well as staff. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS John Mayhoffer, 10014 Empire Drive, stated that <br /> his Family has lived in Louisville as long •as the <br /> City has existed and are developing "deep <br /> concerns" about some of the activities of the <br /> City. Mr. Mayhoffer referred more specifically to <br /> developers creating problems with the ditches and <br /> also, development causing drainage problems on the <br /> Hayhoffer property. Another problem Mr. Mayhoffer <br /> cited was that a contract existed with the <br /> Sanitation District to use the sewer water and <br /> that the contract is still enforceable. Mr. <br /> )Mayhoffer stated that the City used poor judgement <br /> with regard to the Acme well when they opposed <br /> any augmentation on it as it would have been a <br /> benefit to the City should that land be annexed. <br /> Also, an easement to be used for the proposed <br /> waterline to the cemetery has been misidentified. <br /> Mr. Mayhoffer asked what position the City intends <br /> to take with regard to a "friendly relationship• <br /> between the sayhoffer family and the City Council <br /> regarding these issues. <br /> 12 <br />
