06/15/87
APPROVAL OP STAFF SERVICE AGREEMENT - POUR LEAF CLOVER CORPORATION
METRO WATER PROVIDERS Phare explained that the City of Louisville is a
member of the Metropolitan Water Providers group
• — which has entered into agreements with the Denver
Water Board for various projects. One such pro-
ject is the Two Forks Dan and Reservoir. All
costs of the project are being shared in propor-
tion with the various parties interest in the
project. Recently, the Metro Water Providers
Executive Committee made arrangements with Denver
for certain in-house and legal expenses of the
Denver Water Department to be born by Denver. In
exchange for this arrangement, it was agreed that
the Metro Water Providers would pay for their own
staff services. It was felt that the expenses
being charged by Denver were excessive and were
actually costs being paid by the providers to, in
some cases, support efforts counter to the Metro
Water Providers objectives. The provider's staff
in the name of the Four Leaf Clover Corporation
has prepared agreements for their services. This
proposed arrangement would have the Water Provi-
ders paying directly for staff services and there-
fore, do not represent additional cost for the
project, but rather a different procedure for
paying those costs.
Phare stated that $40,000 was budgeted in the
Public Works Budget for the anticipated cost to
the City of Louisville for this service.
Mohr moved that Council approve the Staff Service
Agreement with Four Leaf Clover Corporation for
the. Metropolitan Water Providers group. Mayor
Pauson seconded. Unanimous.
UPDATE - CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROJECTS Phare and Erisko updated Council on various
Capital Improvement Projects as follows:
South Boulder is nearly finished and the traffic
signals are up and operable.
The Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion is on
target and hopefully the new large basin will be
in service in late August, early September.
Detention Pond D located on the Recreation Site is
in progress.
The Drainageway A Study will be ready in
approximately three weeks.
Miners Field is now in good shape.
