I have to agree with <br /> Councilwoman Hornbostel and Councilman <br /> Davidson and will not accept this annex- <br /> ation. <br /> Szymanski: I too have to agree with Councilwoman <br /> Hornbostel and Councilman Davidson and <br /> go ahead and deny this request. <br /> Howard: Before we vote on this I would like to <br /> have a chance to discuss this with <br /> council before we go into the vote. <br /> Howard moved to go into Executive Session at this time to discuss <br /> the issue before Council. <br /> Due to a lack of a second motion dies. <br /> Hornbostel moved that this annexation and petition request be <br /> denied, seconded by Szymanski. By Roll Call Vote motion passed <br /> 5-1 with Mayor Fauson voting no. <br /> DISCUSSION/DIRECTION - NORTHWEST PARKWAY: INTERGOVERNMENTAL <br /> AGREEMENTS - SET PUBLIC HEARING <br /> Griffiths: I was scheduled to meet with attorneys <br /> in Boulder County, with Lafayette, <br /> Superior and Broomfield. We have met <br /> and I would like to report to you my <br /> understanding from that meeting on the <br /> ten items I identified to you in my memo <br /> of January 25th. First I did express a <br /> concern that Louisville would not likely <br /> support the MTDC plan unless it includes <br /> the Northwest Parkway and expressed very <br /> strongly that Louisville felt it was <br /> important to have as part of the <br /> Northwest Parkway agreement, an <br /> agreement from Broomfield that it would <br /> not annex and would not extend water or <br /> sewer service into the unincorporated <br /> territory north of Carbon Road. The <br /> agreement should be binding and be part <br /> of the Northwest Parkway agreement and <br /> that a letter of intent would not be <br /> adequate. It also should be in effect <br /> for at least 20 years. I was advised by <br /> the acting City Attorney for Broomfield <br /> that Broomfield City Council had not yet <br /> 11 <br />
