..11

from Mr. Morris to the City Council
dated January 18th. "Over the past five
months, we and our representatives have
been working with a group of concerned
citizens to create a Development Plan
for the two parcels. These neighbors'
concerns have been addressed by the
development design." I'm sorry Mr.
Morris I disagree with you. My wife and
I attended the first meeting of
approximately seven or eight citizens on
October 24. My wife attended the second
meeting in November. It appears to me
that you were willing to listen but not
willing to hear.

Susan Morris, 939 W. Maple ct.

Morris: I am before you tonight to ask you to
stop this annexation process before it
even goes on to Planning Commission. It
is clear to me after attending the
public meeting a while back and seeing
the various neighbors represented on the
petition that this shopping center plan
is not only rejected by the immediate
neighborhoods but also by the residents
of Louisville as a community. As a whole
this community is saying to you, our
representatives, that this type of
development is not appropriate for this
site. The idea of a shopping center,
combined with a strip development, in a
low density residential area, simply
does not make sense. This proposal is
not supported by the residents of
Louisville. Let's not pretend that this
is a workable plan by sending it through
the Planning commission process, because
the reality is that it is costing all of
us, including the developer, in time and
money to come back months from now to
formally state what many of us agree
tday is a unworkable plan. We are
asking you, our City Council, to be
proactive and send the clear message
that this type of development is not
acceptable for this site. We ask that
you deny this request.

Bob Bruce, 31 S. 80th street, Boulder, Co.

Bruce: I live 50 feet from the proposed Office
Building and 200 feet from the proposed
new Hotel. I appreciate the gestures the

6
