Everyone that lives on the Mesa and are residents of Louisville purchased our properties with those rules in effect. And the prices we paid for our homes reflected those rules. By allowing this property to be zoned Commercial it is going to double that property in value for Louisview Corporation. Lets not change the rules in the middle of fourth quarter. Franklin: It is customary for the applicant, when requesting ci ty consideration of annexation, to say as clear as possible their intent. The procedure that we have is for them to state in their letter of interest their intent to desire a certain zone district. We also ask that the applicants provide a conceptual plan so that the council, the community and staff have a look at the concept. By state statute regards annexation and zoning as separate items. If the city chooses, it does not have to zone the property if it annexes the property. It has a 90 day period to consider zoning the property. Carnival: Asked Franklin to explain what CC zoning is. 7
