...',
Sackett moved to place Ordinance No. 1048, Series 1991 out for
publication and a public hearing be set for July 16, 1991, sec-
onded. All in favor.
ORDINANCE NO. 1049, SERIES 1991 - REVISED AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS
REGULATION - 2ND READING - PUBLIC HEARING
Griffiths read by title only Ordinance No. 1049, Series 1991, "An
Ordinance amending Chapter 8.60 of the Louisville Municipal Code
pertaining to aircraft operations within the City limits."
Franklin: The Ordinance specifically removes from the
restrictions balloon operations, helicopter
operations and still retains our restrictions
against fixed-wing aircraft operations. This
change is the result of discussions with City
Staff, enforcement, City Attorney review and
Council comments at a work session.
Sackett moved to place Ordinance No. 1049, Series 1991 out for
publication and a public hearing be set for July 16, 1991, sec-
onded by Howard. All in favor.
RESOLUTION NO. 15, SERIES 1991 - ENCOURAGING NOAA TO CONSIDER
LOCATING IN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE
Fauson: I had a discussion with Representative
Skaggs. It is almost a sure things that NOAA
will be going to Boulder. They do have some
local concerns that are being considered at
this time that may delay them for a short
period of time. Congressman Skaggs expressed
his heartfelt thanks that we were interested
and that maybe we helped Boulder realize that
other people are interested in NOAA. Based
on this I do not feel a resolution is neces-
sary at this time, also my discussions with
Lance Ritchlin who called NOAA themselves,
said they felt that Boulder was a sure thing.
I would like to go on record to say that I
have expressed to Congressman Skaggs our
interest that anytime there is a government
building or facility going up we would like
to look at it. Congressman Skaggs said he
would consider that.
Mayor Fauson moved that no action be taken on Resolution No 15,
Series 1991.
INITIATE IGA REFERRAL PROCESS ON LASTOKA PROPERTY
Franklin: We did receive a registered mailed form, this
10
