Motion passed 6-0. <br />DISCUSSION/MOTION - AGREEMENTS - LOUISVILLE <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY - RENTAL REHABILITATION <br />PROGRAM <br />John Franklin, Director of Community Development, gave a brief overview of the <br />agreements. <br />The City of Louisville/Lafayette Housing Authority (LHA) has received $24,885 in Federal <br />Rental Rehabilitation funds from the Colorado Division of Housing. Administrative funds <br />of up to $1,244.00 were also awarded. The program funds for improvements to privately- <br />owned rental dwellings. The LHA has previously administered owner-occupied housing <br />rehabilitation grants. <br />Acceptance of the grant includes execution of an agreement between the City and the State <br />regarding operation of the program. <br />As with previous programs, the LHNBoulder County Housing Authority will administer <br />the program - a second agreement provides for this. Through previous agreement, the <br />Boulder County Housing Authority staff manages the local housing program under the <br />direction of the Louisville Housing Authority Board, which is appointed by City Council. <br />Michael Reis, Housing Planner, is present if you have any questions. <br />The agreements were submitted to the City Attorney for review. The agreement between <br />the two entities was revised per City Attorney comments, the City Attorney does have the <br />revised format. The <br /> City of Louisville Housing Authority has agreed to <br /> administer the terms of the contract should the <br /> documents be signed this evening. The way the <br /> program works is that dollar for dollar matching funds <br /> is required by participating owners. When we sent out <br /> mailers to the owners throughout the City of Louisville <br /> we received responses from three owners interested in <br /> participating. The $24,885.00 has been submitted by the <br /> three owners and is on deposit at the Affiliated National <br /> Bank here in the City. An environmental assessment <br /> 4 <br />
