Historic Preservation Commission
Meeting Minutes
May 17, 2010

asking if there should be different plaques for commercial and residential
buildings.

Members of the commission agreed one plaque works for both types of buildings.

Muth also stated McCartney wanted to know if a picture of the historic building
should be included on the plaque.

Members stated if it could be fit on the plaque and is not exorbitantly expensive,
they would like to include the picture.

Koertje asked bids be done in time for the June meeting.

Update/Discussion/Action – Preservation Awards

Koertje asked if the Commission wanted to pursue the awards for 2010 again.

Members agreed to do the awards in 2010.

Muckle asked if they could get copies of pictures of the runners-up from 2009
including 1948 photos.

Muth said she would send the information out to everyone.

Muckle stated she would be happy to take photos of any additional buildings
members want to discuss at the June meeting. She will also go to the Carnegie
Library to get the 1948 photos. Members need to have their suggestions to
Muckle by June 1.

Update/Discussion/Action – Historic Preservation Fund

Koertje noted McCartney included a budget spreadsheet in the meeting packet.
He asked staff for some clarification on what it means.

Muth noted the “Revised Budget” Column is due to the 2010 budget cuts made in
March but none of those affected the HPF. She added the budgeted numbers are
not the same as the actual numbers of what has been spent.

Stewart asked if there was a way to get actual amounts spent year-to-date, not
just budgeted amounts.

Muth will ask McCartney to provide this information at the June meeting.

Update/Discussion/Action – Louisville Preservation Master Plan
