Mayor Sisk addressed the email and stated he took
exception to the offensive statements made about Chief Goodman. He felt those
concerns should be voiced privately to the City Manager. City Manager Fleming
agreed those statements were inflammatory and completely unjustified. He
stated Chief Goodman is an exemplary employee.
Four Staff members from the City's North Plant Water Treatment Facility were
recognized by the Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment for
their participation in water plant performance based training. He stated this is
another example of City employees going the extra mile to optimize the
functionality of the water plant.
Mayor Sisk noted two new restaurants opened today in downtown Louisville; one at the
corner of Pine and Front and the second at the corner of Pine and Main Street.
IREGULAR BUSINESS
RESOLUTION No. 44, SERIES 2010 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE
FABRIZIO HOUSE, 557 JEFFERSON AVENUE, AN HISTORIC LANDMARK Public
Hearing
Mayor Sisk opened the public hearing and requested a Staff presentation.
Principal Planner McCartney explained the applicant, Ann Marie Spear, has requested a
local landmark of her residence at 557 Jefferson Avenue. The Historic Preservation
Commission recommended Council approval of the application. The house is known as
the Fabrizio House and was built in 1954 for the Forbis family. The Fabrizio brothers
were the contractors. The house was sold to Josephine Milano in 1966, who owned the
house until 2003.The bungalow style house has not had any additions to its original 34'
X 31'footprint. According to the applicant, the only change made on the property is a flat
panel solar system on the roof. Landmarks must be at least 50 years old and meet one
or more of the criteria for architectural, social or geographic and environmental
significance.
APPLICANT PRESENTATION
Ann Marie Spear, 557 Jefferson Avenue, Louisville, CO stated her home is a great
example of the mid -1950 architectural style and her intention is to maintain its historic
condition.
