<br />Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />JULY 13, 2006 <br />Page 2 of 13 <br /> <br />McAvinew moved and Sheets seconded a motion to continue Resolution No. 11, Series 2006 <br />regarding Sign Code Amendments to the July 20, 2006 Planning Commission Public Hearing. <br />Motion passed by voice vote. <br /> <br />Due to a defective notice, a new notice for the Gateway Subdivision application will be <br />required for an August 10, 2006 public hearing. <br /> <br />~ Gateway Subdivision, Replat A - McStain Neighborhoods. A request to rezone Lots <br />3 - 9 from single-family rural (SF-R) to single-family medium density (SF-MD). The <br />request also includes a preliminary subdivision plat and a preliminary planned unit <br />development (PUD) plan for a total of25 single-family lots. Lots 1 and 2, <br />approximately 4.9 acres, is planned to be dedicated to the City of Louisville's Open <br />Space program and is not part of the rezoning request. Motion passed by voice <br />vote. <br /> <br />Regular Business - Public Hearing Items <br /> <br />~ Resolution No. 21, Series 2006, Urban Renewal Plan Adoption; A request that <br />recommends to City Council the adoption of the Urban Renewal Plan (Plan) for a <br />specific area within the City of Louisville. The purpose of the Plan is to reduce, <br />eliminate and prevent the spread of blight within the Urban Renewal Area (Area) and <br />to stimulate growth and reinvestment within the Area boundaries, on surrounding <br />blocks and throughout downtown. The Plan promotes an environment which allows <br />for a range of uses and product types which can respond to market conditions over <br />time; further the goals and objectives of the Louisville Comp Plan and the HWY 42 <br />Framework Plan and relevant policy documents; and, leverage the community's <br />investment in public improvement projects in the Area.
