City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 2, 2023 <br />Page 8 of 14 <br />waivers or site design issues so staff does not feel that would be a good use of <br />Council's time. <br />Councilmember Hamlington asked how many of these staff anticipates having on a <br />Council agenda each year. Community Development Director Zuccaro stated it might be <br />more in the first year before the Comprehensive Plan is updated, but generally he <br />stated it might be four to six per year. <br />Public Comments <br />Josh Cooperman, Louisville, stated he is supportive of this review. It is a benefit to both <br />developers and residents to get a preview of proposed developments. <br />Councilmember Dickinson stated he thinks this is a huge step forward in interfacing with <br />the development community and that it be a part of the public process. <br />Councilmember Leh this is a good tool for developers and the residents. <br />Councilmember Hoefner agreed. <br />Councilmember Most stated this is very positive and makes the process smoother. <br />Councilmember Hamlington stated this is long overdue and will position the City to be a <br />partner with developers and businesses. <br />Mayor Maloney stated he likes the ordinance and this will only affect those projects that <br />are more complicated and allow everyone to see what makes sense and what the <br />Council is interested in. <br />Public Comments — None. <br />MOTION: Councilmember Leh moved to approve the ordinance; seconded by <br />Councilmember Dickinson. <br />Mayor Maloney closed the public hearing. <br />VOTE: Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. Mayor Pro Tern Fahey absent. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1860, SERIES 2023 — AN ORDINANCE REPEALING THE <br />PROHIBITION ON PIT BULLS CONTAINED IN SECTION 6.12.160 OF THE <br />LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE — 2nd READING, PUBLIC HEARING (advertised <br />Daily Camera 9/10/23) <br />Mayor Maloney introduced the item and opened the public hearing. <br />
