Improved playing conditions,
more efficient performance and more environmentally friendly.Possibility of new
golf carts planned for 2011 season, however, WGPand the Citymay decide to
fulfill the current cart lease which ends in the Spring of 2012.
2011 Plans and Actions
–a list of the comprehensive needs for 2011 is being
compiled. The
need is for“as built” locationsto make it easier to locate problems concerning
irrigation.Bunkers are one of the golfers’ major concerns and Advisory Board is
reviewing options and strategy with WGP and City staff. Clubhouse is in need of
on-going maintenance and the Board is reviewing strategy and 2011 plans.
Summary
:
Ken Gambon reiterated that customer satisfaction is the #1 priority. The Golf
Course Advisory Board and City staff has built a great working relationship with
WesternGolf Properties by opening up lines of communication. Western Golf
has been very open in sharing business information with the Board. The Board
believes they will have a greater impact going forward and they are excited about
2011 goals. When the Boardwas first formed there was a period of learning how
to work together, but both Bobby Heath and Eric Jensen of WGP agreethat they
have developed a good working relationship with the Board.
