Local Licensing Authority <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 22, 2024 <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />Kaufman moved the entire application be made part of the record of <br />the hearing; Machado seconded. All in favor. <br />The applicant's representative, Dan Dan Jiang, was sworn in by the <br />Secretary and gave testimony on the application for a Hotel and <br />Restaurant Liquor License. Machado asked for verification that the <br />owner or manager had server training. Both owner and manager have <br />server training. Kaufman asked about hours of operation. Machado <br />asked about the location. <br />Eva Garretson with LiquorPros was sworn in by the secretary. She <br />spoke to how the petitioning of the surrounding businesses and <br />neighbors was conducted and those petitions were included in the <br />Authority packet. There was one signature in opposition to the license <br />and all others were in favor. The Authority had no questions of the <br />petitioner. <br />There was no additional member discussion. Machado noted that the <br />applicant was of good moral character, there is a desire for the license <br />to be granted and that all City and State law requirements have been <br />met. Based on those findings, Machado moved that the application for <br />a Hotel & Restaurant Liquor License be approved. The motion was <br />seconded by Carlson. Roll call vote was unanimous for approval. <br />B. Action Item —Approval of meeting dates for the remainder of 2024 <br />After a brief discussion by the Authority, Carlson moved to change the <br />November meeting date to November 1 8th and to cancel the <br />December meeting. Seconded by Machado. All in favor. <br />C. Discussion / Direction: Natural Medicine Program / Licensed Healing <br />Centers <br />Erin Carpenter was invited by the Authority to present on the <br />upcoming Natural Medicine Program / Licensed Healing Centers <br />program. <br />Ms. Carpenter has completed the training required by the State and <br />will be applying for her State license as soon as the application <br />process is open. She explained that a patient will enter the healing <br />center and be provided with the natural medicine. The session usually <br />lasts 6-7 hours and the patient will need to have a ride home. <br />Kaufman asked about how these were administered. Ms. Carpenter <br />stated they will be taken orally and the product will be provided by <br />grow facilities that will be licensed by the state. <br />
