Kimley»>Horn
Figure 1 — SUE Limits
Deliverables
• SUE Plans
• Test Hole Data Reports
Page 10
Task 2.B Floodplain Impact Study
Kimley-Horn will complete a floodplain impact study for the proposed storm improvements that will outfall
into Coal Creek Drainageway A, which is a regulated FEMA floodplain (Zone AE). Kimley-Horn does not
anticipate any fill being placed within the floodplain and that hydraulic modeling will not need to be
completed for the proposed project to analyze the potential impacts to flooding. This task will consist of
producing cross sections to show that the project is not producing fill in the floodplain. In addition, a
"Statement of No Impact" will be provided stating that there is no fill with the regulatory floodplain, the project
will not increase BFEs of the Coal Creek Drainageway A floodplain, and the project will not adversely impact
adjacent properties. If it is determined that fill will be placed within the floodplain, a detailed hydraulic
analysis will be required to analyze the impacts and show that there is no -rise created by the project. This
is not included as part of this task but can be completed as an additional service.
Task 2.0 Drainage
Kimley-Horn will take the 30% drainage design that has been completed and advance to 60%, 90%, Final,
and Bid Set level design. Kimley-Horn will complete a detailed proposed conditions analysis for the drainage
patterns to assist with preparing a final drainage analysis. This analysis will provide a detailed analysis for
sizing of the selected drainage improvements from the 30% design efforts. This task will take the selected
alternative to final design, which consists of detailed grading of the drainage improvements, completing
drainage basin calculations for the 10-year and 100-years storm events utilizing the rational method, storm
sewer design calculations utilizing StormCAD, and inlet calculations.
See Task 4.A.1, Design Review, for submittal and review details.
kimley-horn.com
11800 Ridge Parkway, Suite 200, Broomfield, CO 80021
303 228 2300
