The ordinance states the Authority
shall establish application procedures for tastings permits, but also states "a retail
liquor store licensee that wishes to conduct tastings shall submit an application
for a tastings permit to the 10Gallicensing authority annually at the time of liquor
license renewal" (Louisville Municipal Code 9 5.08.075 B). This language limits
the time of application to occur concurrent to annual license renewal. The
Authority requests a change to permit retail liquor licensees to apply for tastings
permits at any time throughout the year.

If Council desires the Authority to accept, consider and approve applications for
tastings permits throughout the year, this section would need to be revised. The
tastings permit would still be renewable annually.

Mayor Sisk requested public comment and hearing none, closed the public
hearing.
