The amendments do not change the discharge limitations or have a significant impact to the current permitted dischargers in Louisville. The amendments serve to clarify existing ordinance language, add streamlining modifications for permitting options and enhance the legal authority to the Industriall Pretreatment Program. Mayor Sisk requested public comment and hearing none, closed the public hearing. MOTION: Council member Marsella moved to approve Ordinance No. 1510, Series 2007, seconded by Council member Clabots. Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a vote of 6-0. Absent: Mayor Pro Tem Brown. ORDINANCE No. 1512, SERIES 2007 - ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5.08.75 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING LIQUOR T ASTINGS AT RETAIL LIQUOR STORES - 2nd reading - public hearing (advertised Daily Camera 2/10/07) Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1512, Series 2007. Mayor Sisk opened the public hearing and requested a Staff presentation. Deputy City Clerk Hanson eXlPlained the Local Licensing Authority requests the application process for tastin~~s permits for licensed retail liquor establishments be available throughout the year, not just with their annual liquor license renewal. Ordinance No. 1457, Series ~~004 permitted limited tastings in licensed retail liquor establishments after the licensees submitted an application and received approval from the Local Licensing Authority. The ordinance states the Authority shall establish application procedures for tastings permits, but also states "a retail liquor store licensee that wishes to conduct tastings shall submit an application for a tastings permit to the 10Gallicensing authority annually at the time of liquor license renewal" (Louisville Municipal Code 9 5.08.075 B). This language limits the time of application to occur concurrent to annual license renewal. The Authority requests a change to permit retail liquor licensees to apply for tastings permits at any time throughout the year. If Council desires the Authority to accept, consider and approve applications for tastings permits throughout the year, this section would need to be revised. The tastings permit would still be renewable annually. Mayor Sisk requested public comment and hearing none, closed the public hearing.
