problems and stated that he would prefer a proposal that would not tax the citizens of <br />Louisville. <br /> <br />With regard to Mr. Grinberg's comments, Howard stated that the Council has written <br />numerous strongly worded letters to the Jeffco Airport about noise pollution. He also <br />noted that the City has worked in unison with other communities relative to the Jeffco <br />noise problem. <br /> <br />In response to the light pollution concern, Howard stated that the City has used cut-off <br />lighting, which does not allow light spillage off the property, throughout most of the City. <br />He noted that the lighting in the downtown area is essentially pre-existing. <br /> <br />With regard to the prairie dog relocation issue, Howard stated that the City is trying to <br />accomplish the best compromise for citizens and for the animals. <br /> <br />Brown stated that he supported the downtown businesses and the resolution of the <br />parking issues. He felt that it was a matter of cost analysis and working together. He <br />expressed his willingness to participate in further discussions. <br /> <br />Sisk stated that the consensus of the Council, is the issue of the funding. He addressed <br />cash-in-lieu and noted that the cash-in-lieu must reflect the values of the properties. He <br />stated that the partnership must be a buy-in from the business community. He also noted <br />that they must look at the bid and discuss alternatives if it is not acceptable. <br /> <br />Levihn stated that he supported the downtown businesses and suggested that the DBA <br />and the Council work together. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1333, SERIES 2000 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 10.18 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO ALLOW ON- <br />STREET PARKING PERMIT RESTRICTIONS WITHIN DOWNTOWN <br />LOUISVILLE TO BE APPLIED ON SUNDAYS AND LEGAL HOLIDAYS - 2nd <br />reading - public hearing (advertised Daily Camera 3/11/00) <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />Sam Light, City Attorney read Ordinance No. 1333, Series 2000 - An Ordinance <br />Amending Chapter 10.18 of the Louisville Municipal Code to Allow On-Street Parking <br />Permit Restrictions within Downtown Louisville To Be Applied On Sundays and Legal <br />Holidays. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Staff presentation. <br /> <br />William Simmons, City Administrator stated that Ordinance No. 1333, Series 2000 <br />amends chapter 10.18 of the Louisville Municipal Code to give the City Administrator <br />the authority to enact parking permit restrictions on weekends and legal holidays in the <br /> <br /> <br />
