<br />Louisville City Council Meeting <br />January 18, 2005 <br />Page 9 of 11 <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk stated the enhanced pedestrian crossing is a priority. He suggested the <br />Council look at a plan for roundabouts as a very viable and expensive alternative. <br /> <br />Council member Brown asked Mr. Ariniello ifhis PowerPoint presentation could be <br />placed on the City's Web Site or the Government television channel to inform and <br />educate the citizens. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk asked if Council would agree to take no action at this time. There was <br />Council consensus. <br /> <br />Council member Marsella asked that the enhanced pedestrian crossing at the Recreation <br />Center proceed as planned. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1462, SERIES 2005 - AN ORDINANCE TO APPLY AND <br />CONTRACT FOR BENEFICIAL USE OF WATER ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND PRESCRIBING THE <br />TERMS FOR APPLICATION FOR AN ALLOCATION OF THE RIGHT TO USE <br />COLORADO BIG THOMPSON PROJECT WATER TO SAID CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE BY NORTHERN COLORADO WATER CONSERVANCY <br />DISTRICT - 1 st reading - set public hearing - 2/1/05 <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Sam Light read Ordinance No. 1462, Series 2005. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved that Ordinance No. 1462, Series 2005 be sent out for <br />publication and a public hearing be set for February 1, 2005, seconded by Council <br />member Keany. All in favor. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Attorney Sam Light reported Ballot Issue 200 Charter Amendment training of the <br />City Staff took place on Wednesday, January 12, and Tuesday, January 18. Documents <br />of those training sessions are available in the City Manager's office. He noted the <br />codification of the Charter Amendments will be incorporated into the City Charter. <br /> <br />Council member Brown asked for an estimation of the cost of the implementation of the <br />Charter Amendment. City Manager Simmons stated the actual cost has not been <br />calculated. He explained the City Staff have received training. The Board and <br />Commission members will receive training next. The Staff is investigating new <br />technology to be compliant with the Ballot Issue 200 Charter Amendments. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons requested Staff reports. <br /> <br />9 <br />
