<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 16, 2005 <br />Page 7 of 11 <br /> <br />Frost Yarnell, 1109 Hillside Lane, Louisville, CO addressed open enrollment in <br />Louisville, and noted many Louisville students are lost to other cities schools. <br />She stated housing and population was the focus of the public. She addressed <br />anti-growth, and stated her impression the public requested more thoughtful <br />growth or closely scrutinized growth. She requested Council be more <br />retrospective when persons voice a belief they have not been heard. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Council member Brown reported he did not state residential units are required to <br />attract regional retail. He addressed open enrollment in the Louisville schools. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 30, SERIES 2005 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN 2005 UPDATE <br /> <br />MOTION: Council member Brown moved for Council approval of Resolution No. <br />30, Series 2005, with the correction to typographical errors, and the addition of <br />the proposed language suggested by Mayor Sisk "with the expressed intent of a <br />population not to exceed 23,000." Council member Levihn seconded the motion. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light clarified the version of the Comprehensive Plan Update <br />considered by Council is the version recommended by the Planning Commission <br />on June 9, revised to incorporate text and map amendments set forth on August <br />2, and August 16. <br /> <br />The amendment was accepted by Council members Brown and Levihn. <br /> <br />Council member Van Pelt made correction to Policy UD3.2, and noted in the <br />current draft the policy statement needs to address maintenance of public lands. <br />She asked that language be added and suggested that remain as an open item <br />to be discussed at the Mayor's discretion. <br /> <br />Council member Keany voiced his concern over an absolute population number <br />of 23,000.Council member Van Pelt concurred, but suggested that the Comp <br />Plan will be reviewed every two years. She stated her understanding that the <br />citizens of Louisville desire a population number of 23,000. <br /> <br />VOTE: Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a vote of 7-0. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF REVOCABLE LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH PORTER CARE <br />ADVENTIST HEALTH CARE SYSTEMS <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk recused himself from the discussion and vote of the Porter Care <br />Adventist Health Care System. <br />
