Local Licensing Authority
Minutes
April 23, 2012
Page 3of 3
This incident involved the police being dispatched to the establishment on the
report of a disturbance. Authority discussion resulted in a decision to take no
further action.
Secretary’s Report
Hanson reported she had one inquiry from a downtown business about licensing
the sidewalk area between the tables next to their building and the street patios
and expanding the hours of service to 2 a.m. If an application is submittedfor
Authority approval, the City agrees to opening the sidewalk area but not
extendingthe hours.
Authority Attorney’s Report
No report.
Authority Comment
Carlson reported on pending state legislation which would affect the cap on the
amount brewpubs could sell and distribute. Questions were raised concerning
breweries and their licensing. Staff will continue to gather information in case the
Authority is faced with these questions in the future.Rommelfanger asked for
clarification on patios and fencing. Patios are not required to be fenced per the
liquor laws, but control of the area must be demonstrated.
Adjourn
–Carlsonmoved to adjourn. Wilsonseconded. All in favor. The
meeting was adjourned at 7:32p.m.
________________________________
Cecilia Wilson, Chairperson
_____________________________
Carol Hanson, Deputy City Clerk
