Louisville Historical Commission <br />Subcommittee Meeting Minutes <br />July 17, 2012 <br />Louisville Public Library Board Room <br />951 Spruce St. <br />12:00 <br />PM <br />Commission Members Present: Dan Mellish, Lynn Koglin <br />Also Present: Beth Barrett, Director of Library & Museum Services, and Bridget Bacon, <br />Museum Coordinator <br />The group met to discuss and plan for the Historical Commission’s study session with City <br />th <br />Council scheduled for August 14. Dan Mellish stated that he would be able to give the <br />presentation. <br />Among the topics discussed as items for the Commission to potentially highlight were: <br /> Museum and Commission accomplishments from the past year <br /> Community outreach through Louisville Historian distribution, walking tours, school <br />tours, etc. <br /> Museum’s photo collection – access and preservation <br /> Museum’s information provided for the Jefferson Place survey <br /> Expanded Museum hours and summer hours; visitor statistics showing increase in <br />number of visitors <br /> Citizen survey results <br /> Historical Museum mission and future needs, which include a museum building project <br />(for visitor center, collection storage space, ADA compliant restrooms) <br /> Commission fundraising statistics/success from 2011 <br /> Commission’s decision to actively pursue the creation of a separate foundation <br />City of Louisville <br />Louisville Historical Museum <br />749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027 <br />303-665-9048 (phone) 303-335-4550 (fax) www.louisvilleco.gov <br /> <br />
