He suggested to Ms. Lejuste and to Council that AT&T <br />Broadband meet with Council to discuss proposed increases. <br /> <br />Sisk reported that the Louisville Recreation Center has already exhausted their 2001 <br />heating fuel budget~ He suggested that the City take a pro-active role in energy <br />conservation. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />RECOGNITION OF DIANNE SHANKS <br /> <br />Mayor Davidson recognized Dianne Shanks for her contributions to the Louisville <br />Housing Authority. He stated that Ms. Shanks has served on the Louisville Housing <br />Authority since 1992, and as Chair since 1994. Ms. Shanks submitted her resignation <br />from the Louisville Housing Authority to accept a position with the Boulder County <br />Housing Authority. In recognition of her nine years of volunteer service, the Mayor and <br />City Council presented her with a gift certificate to Karen's in the Country Restaurant. <br /> <br />Dianne Shanks thanked the Mayor and City Council for the opportunity to serve on the <br />Louisville Housing Authority. She offered her best wishes to the Louisville Housing <br />Authority and to the City Council. <br /> <br />Mayer noted that, in addition to her volunteered service on the Louisville Housing <br />Authority, Ms. Shanks also provided events for the City of Louisville and served on the <br />Resource Conservation Committee and with Resource 2000. Mayer thanked Dianne <br />Shanks for all her contributions to the City of Louisville and Boulder County. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - NATIONAL HISTORIC PRESERVATION WEEK - MAY <br /> 13-19, 2001 <br /> <br />Mayor Davidson read the proclamation proclaiming the week of May 13-19, 2001, as <br />National Historic Preservation Week in the City of Louisville. Members of the Historical <br />Commission strongly support preservation efforts in Louisville's Old town district, and <br />encourage all residents to visit the Louisville Historical Museum to learn more about the <br />unique and interesting history of Louisville. Davidson presented the proclamation to <br />Historical Commission Vice-Chairperson Virginia Caranci. <br /> <br />Virginia Caranci accepted the proclamation on behalf of the Historical Commission. She <br />thanked the Council for their continued support. <br /> <br /> <br />
