Louisville City Council Meeting <br />September 4, 2001 <br />Page 13 <br /> <br />Sisk stated that only public comment on the ballot title is requested at this time. <br /> <br />Ted Hine, 318 South Place, Louisville, CO, provided copies of his written statement and <br />asked that it be made a part of the record. <br /> <br />MOTION: Keany moved that Council approve Resolution No. 45, Series 2001, <br />seconded by Brown. Roll call vote was taken. The motion passed by a vote of 5-0. <br />Davidson excused, Howard absent. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 46, SERIES 2001 - A RESOLUTION SUBMITTING THE <br />PROPOSED HOME RULE CHARTER FOR THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE TO A <br />VOTE OF THE REGISTERED ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE AT <br />THE REGULAR ELECTION TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 6, 2001 <br /> <br />Sisk called for Staff presentation. <br /> <br />City Administrator Bill Simmons stated that Resolution No. 46, Series 2001 will refer the <br />proposed Home Rule Charter to the voters at the November 6, .2001 election. The ballot <br />title and question regarding the proposed Home Rule Charter is set and shall appear as <br />follows: <br /> <br />SHALL THE PROPOSED HOME RULE CHARTER FOR THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE, COLORADO BE ADOPTED? <br /> <br />YES <br />NO <br /> <br />MOTION: Brown moved that Council approve Resolution No. 46, Series 2001, <br />seconded by Levihn. Roll call vote was taken. The motion passed by a vote of 5-0. <br />Davidson excused, Howard absent. <br /> <br />City Administrator Simmons noted that the notice of the election and the Charter, <br />including the text, would appear in the September 5, 2001 edition of the Louisville <br />Times. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ON CREATION OF A YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD <br /> <br />Keany proposed that the City Council form a Youth Advisory Board that would consist <br />of two members from each school, including the St. Louis Catholic School. He <br />suggested meeting on a regular basis, perhaps monthly during the school year. Included <br />on the Board would be a Staff person and possibly a City Council liaison. The Board <br />would review the concerns of the youth, help Council understand the issues, and decided <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br /> <br />
