Louisville City Council Meeting
October 16, 2001
Page 3

ORDINANCE NO. 1370, SERIES 2001 - AN ORDINANCE DISCONNECTING
FROM THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO, CERTAIN PARCELS OF
LAND LYING WITHIN THE GLACIER PARK, BOULDER COUNTY LAND
VENTURE AND TRILLIUM OPEN SPACE PROPERTIES - 2nd Reading -
(advertised Daily Camera 10/7/01)

Davidson called for City Attorney introduction.

City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1370, Series 2001. Light noted that Exhibit A to
the Ordinance consists of 14 pages of legal description and asked that they be made a part
of the record.

Davidson ordered that the legal description for Ordinance No. 1370, Series 2001, be
made a part of the record.

Davidson called for Staff presentation.

City Attorney Light stated that in May of 2001, the City disconnected the Glacier Park,
Boulder County Land Venture and Trillium open space properties from the corporate
boundaries of the City of Louisville. Excepted from such disconnection was the original
alignment of the Northwest Parkway, the new alignment of the Northwest Parkway, a
parcel of land lying between such alignments, and certain parcels of the Dillon Road and
South 104th Street rights-of-way.

Light stated that in September of 2001, the Boulder County Commissioners submitted a
petition to the City for the enactment of an ordinance disconnecting the right-of-way
parcels from the corporate boundaries of the City of Louisville. The new alignment of the
Northwest Parkway has been conveyed from Boulder County to the Northwest Parkway
Public Highway Authority (PHA), and the PHA has consented to and joined in the
petition requesting disconnection of the new alignment of the Northwest Parkway. The
remaining portions of the right-of-way parcels to be disconnected are either owned by the
City and County as tenants in common, or by the City with respect to portions of the
Dillon Road and South 104th Street rights-of-way. There is excepted from this
disconnection any portions of the Dillon Road and South 104th Street rights-of-way lying
north and west of the intersection of Dillon Road and South 104th Street.

Davidson opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak in favor or
against Ordinance No. 1370, Series 2001. Hearing none, Davidson closed the public
hearing.

MOTION: Howard moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1370, Series 2001,
seconded by Keany. Roll call vote was taken.
