The team <br /> has received citizen inputs from emails, cards, on-line survey and from an open house <br /> meeting. The team will meet next week to discuss negotiation strategies and the <br /> specific issues for negotiation, using citizen input. He will describe the negotiation <br /> strategies and the schedule at the next City Council meeting and will provide an update <br /> on the negotiations until they are concluded. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Alan Sobel, 1408 Kennedy, Louisville, CO voiced his appreciation for the Council <br /> agenda item on the Comcast Franchise negotiation update. He expressed his <br /> misgivings at the open house, on a weekday at 4:00 p.m. before Christmas, where there <br /> was no clear indication of what was to occur. A Comcast representative was present <br /> and spoke freely on cable company competition, but when asked specific questions <br /> about call services centers and notice to subscribers, he was not familiar with those <br /> matters. There were not opportunities for citizens to provide input. When a citizen <br /> offered input about the internet, or the GMTC they were told it was not the appropriate <br /> forum. He asked when would be the appropriate forum for citizen input. He requested <br /> the City provide the public accurate information. <br /> RESOLUTION No. 1, SERIES 2014— A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUSINES <br /> ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT WITH ZETAWAVE LLC FOR THE REMODELING OF <br /> EXISTING INDISTRIAL SPACE AT 258 TAYLOR AVENUE IN THE COLORADO <br /> TECHNOLOGY CENTER IN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> Mayor Muckle requested a staff presentation. <br /> Economic Development Director DeJong presented the Business Assistance Package <br /> (BAP) for a new Louisville employer, Xetawave LLC. XetaWave manufactures state of <br /> the art data transfer radios, which operates across multiple bands to meet the <br /> application needs for several industries, including oil and gas, water, waste water, <br /> utilities, traffic, solar and the military. The company was founded By Jonathan Sawyer <br /> and Robert Campbell in 2010. Xetawave is outgrowing their space at 1668 Valtec Lane <br /> in Boulder County and have identified 258 Taylor Avenue in the Colorado Tech Center. <br /> The Company would lease the entirel7, 000 SF building. The previous tenant was Audit <br /> Logistics, who moved their operations to 1157 Century Drive in the Centennial Valley <br /> area. Xetawave has 19 employees currently, but plans to grow to 30 in the new location <br /> over the next five years. They estimate $80,000 of tenant improvements are needed to <br /> accommodate their use in the building. <br /> The company meets the general criteria by which assistance may be granted in <br /> accordance with the Business Assistance Policy. The assistance would be funded by <br /> permit fees, construction use tax, and consumer use tax from the tenant finish of the <br /> existing space. <br />
