Louisville Cultural Council <br />Meeting Nlinutes <br />January 16, 2014 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />IX. Election of Officers: <br />• Chair / President: Susan Honstein was elected for a third term. Mark moved to <br />approve the nomination, Denice seconded. The motion was unanimous. <br />• Vice Chair / VP: Mark Oberholzer was elected for a first term. Shary moved to <br />approve the nomination, Jennifer seconded. The motion was unanimous. <br />Secretary: Angie Layton was elected for a first term. Shary moved to approve the <br />nomination, Mark seconded. The motion was unanimous. <br />Treasurer: Denice Spencer was elected for a second term. Susan moved to approve <br />the nomination. Mark seconded. The motion was unanimous. <br />X. City Council Update: <br />Ashley explained that the City budget is being re- worked due to the flood damage <br />that will require unexpected funds to be diverted to repair 2 bridges, the Coal Creek <br />Golf Course, and the Coal Creek Trail that were damaged. Some planned <br />allocations are now being reconsidered which could affect the LCC. No new projects <br />are being considered at this time. <br />XI. Staff Update & Upcoming Events: <br />o Hiring Update for LCC Special Events Coordinator - Meredyth explained that 145 <br />applications were received for the position and have narrowed the candidates down <br />to one. Mark and Susan volunteered to participate in an interview and give feedback <br />on the candidate scheduled for January 21. <br />Arts Center Calendar & Rentals Update - Meredyth indicated that the calendar for <br />events at the Arts Center are now on a Google Calendar for review, but not for <br />modifications. Only Meredyth can update the document to maintain control of the <br />calendar and request process. Also, all inside and outside locking doors at the Arts <br />Center will soon be updated with electronic key pad entry systems; soon keys will no <br />longer function. This system will create electronic reports indicating who entered and <br />exited the building by date and time stamps. Temporary access codes will provide <br />entry for private rental groups via pre - programmed dates for security purposes. <br />January 22 - SCFD Training via webinar 6:OOpm - 7:3Opm <br />January 29 - Dream Chasers Lecture Series <br />o February 1 - SCFD Face -to -Face Training session - Susan will send out details in an <br />email to all LCC members <br />o February 14 - SCFD Grant Report due online. Lawrence and Angie volunteered to <br />help Susan and Denice. <br />
