<br />Davidson called for Council questions or comments. <br /> <br />Mayer did not feel paragraph III-B relating to population in the year 2000 and the sharing of revenue <br />and expenses was necessary, because by the time the adjustment took place, the agreement would be <br />practically over. <br /> <br />Keany moved that Council approve Resolution No. 18, Series 1996, approving an intergovernmental <br />agreement by and between the City of Louisville and the City of Lafayette, with additional language <br />on the liability and indemnification issues that had been identified, and concerning funding, what <br />happens with non-appropriation, with all being satisfactory to the City Administrator, Mayor, and <br />City Attorney, and authorizing the Mayor to execute the same. Seconded by Mayer. Roll call was <br />taken. Motion passed by a 6 - 0 with Howard being absent. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1212, SERIES 1996 - REGULATION OF TRAFFIC BY THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE, COLORADO; ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 1996 EDITION OF THE <br />"MODEL TRAFFIC CODE FOR COLORADO MUNICIPALITIES," MAKING <br />AMENDMENTS THERETO; AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE LOUISVILLE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE IN CONNECTION THEREWITH; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR <br />VIOLA TIONS OF THE ADOPTED CODE; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN <br />CONFLICT THEREWITH - FIRST READING - SET PUBLIC HEARING 3/20/96 <br /> <br />Griffiths read by title only Ordinance No. 1212, Series 1996, "An ordinance for the regulation of <br />traffic by the City of Louisville, Colorado; adopting by reference the 1995 edition of the "Model <br />Traffic Code For Colorado Municipalities," making amendments thereto, amending certain sections <br />of the Louisville Municipal Code in connection therewith, providing penalties for violations of the <br />adopted code, and repealing all ordinances in conflict therewith." <br /> <br />Bruce Goodman, Chief of Police, stated that the Model Traffic Code is what the Louisville Police <br />Department enforces for most of its traffic violations. This is the first revision since 1977. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council comments, questions, or motions. <br /> <br />Lathrop moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1212, Series 1996, the 1995 Municipal Model <br />Traffic Code on first reading and set public hearing for March 20, 1996. Seconded by Levihn.
