Slated for September.
FOLK ARTS FESTIVAL October/November timeframe. Motion
by Eva Kosinski: SHOULD WE GO FOR THE AHAB/NEODATA GRANT
IN MARCH? Seconded by Eric Fridh,VOTE: YES (unanimous)
• C. Young Artist Exhibit report:
Was extended to Jan 2 this year with very positive feedback from teachers
& public. Came in under budget. Thanks to Anne Lamb for her work with
the reception.
D. Committee Chairperson's reports:
Committee assignments will be made with the coming in of the new
Board, though some appear below under NEW BUSINESS.
NEW BUSINESS
A. Public Art- Acquisitions and Donations:
A suggestion has been made that the LAHC use the $125 or so remaining
from the Young Artists Exhibit to buy some of the pieces for a public art
collection. There was some discussion about whether these would be seen
as "awards," and how the choices would be made without hurting any of
the students' feelings. If a teacher from each school selected a piece this
might work. Motion by Eric Fridh that we approach the schools for this
purpose (SHOULD THE LAHC PURCHASE YOUNG ARTISTS EXHIBIT
WORKS?),seconded by Eva Kosinski,VOTE: YES (unanimous)
B. Patrons Project:
A flyer has been made that was passed out to some of the folks who
attended the Art Center informational meeting on the 19th, but so much
•
