City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 1,2014 <br />Page 14 of 31 <br />City Attorney Light requested he be allowed to enter documents into the record before <br />the closure of the public hearing. <br />Council member Lipton withdrew his motion and Mayor Pro Tem Daltons withdrew his <br />second to the motion. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Alex Bradley, 1385 Caledonia, Louisville, CO noted the LES enrollment from this <br />development, with the total density of 193 or 191 will put LES close to capacity. <br />City Attorney Light asked City Council to adopt a motion to include in the record for this <br />Proceeding the following documents: All application materials submitted by the <br />applicant; in connection to the application all the City Council packet, consisting of the <br />City staff communications and all attachments; the PowerPoint presentations made by <br />Planning staff and the applicant; all written referrals and public comments received <br />regarding this application; the City's Comprehensive Plan, the City's Subdivision and <br />Zoning ordinances set forth in Title 16 and 17; the Mixed Use Development Standards <br />and Guidelines; the Commercial Development Guidelines; a June 11, 2014 email from <br />Ms. Bradley regarding the projection detention facilities and the June 17, 2014 letter <br />from Ms. Bradley with the attachments regarding school enrollment. <br />The applicant had no objection to the documents inclusion into the record. <br />MOTION: Council member Keany moved to include in the record all the documents as <br />outlined by the City Attorney, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Dalton. All were in favor. <br />Absent: Council member Loo. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Council member Muckle voiced his support of the language offered by Council member <br />Lipton and noted City Attorney Light will provide additional language. He supported the <br />project, which will serve the downtown area and provide many benefits. He was <br />sympathetic to the issue of school enrollment, but stated the School District will have to <br />resolve the problem, but was willing to work with the them. He supported a variety of <br />architecture opposed to the repetitive architecture proposed. <br />Council member Stolzmann stated it is difficult to apply the design guidelines with this <br />phase. She looked forward to the second phase of the development and hoped the <br />design would not be repetitive. With respect to the transit oriented development, she <br />felt it was dishonest and should be addressed in the guidelines. She stressed the <br />importance of a joint meeting with the School District to ask them to redistrict. <br />Council member Moss agreed with Council member Stolzmann relative to the City <br />Council meeting with the School Board. She agreed there is room in Louisville schools, <br />but everything is funneled through LES. She also agreed with comments on the mixed- <br />
