City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 2, 2014 <br />Page 3 of 6 <br />PROCLAMATION — CHIEF TIM PARKER DAY <br />Mayor Muckle stated his personal experience with Chief Parker and the Louisville Fire <br />Protection District involved a significant fire at his home. He noted Chief Parker and the <br />Fire District arrived at 11:30 p.m., in 2 degree temperatures, and were efficient and <br />effective and extremely compassionate. He stated most of the City's residents have <br />had the same experience with the Chief and the Protection District. <br />Mayor Muckle read the Proclamation, which proclaimed December 12, 2014 as Chief <br />Tim Parker Day in Louisville and encouraged all citizens to honor Chief Parker and his <br />contributions to the Louisville Fire Protection District and the safety and enhancement of <br />the quality of life for all citizens. He presented the proclamation to Chief Parker. <br />Chief Tim Parker thanked the City Council for their recognition and their support over <br />the years. He noted there is a unique relationship between the District and the City <br />Council, which is the envy of many partnerships in the Front Range and is used as a <br />model. He credited and thanked the Fire District Board of Directors, City Councils, City <br />Managers and City staff over the years and stated it has been a pleasure to work with <br />them. <br />THIRD AMENDMENT TO STANDARD FORM OF <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF LOUISVILLE AND <br />LANDSCAPES UNLIMITED <br />Mayor Muckle requested a staff presentation. <br />Parks and Recreation Director Stevens explained the agreement before the City Council <br />for their consideration is the Third Amendment to Standard Form of Agreement between <br />City of Louisville and Landscapes Unlimited. This is the contract for the reconstruction <br />of Coal Creek Golf Course in the amount of $334,423. This contract continues from the <br />construction process to the first phases of grow -in, which began in August of 2014 and <br />will continue to June of 2015. <br />Staff recommended the City Council amend the standard form of agreement between <br />the City and Landscapes Unlimited to include Phase IV, grow -in period in the amount of <br />$334,423 for 2015. <br />COUNCIL COMMENT <br />Mayor Muckle inquired about the reimbursement for this project. Parks and Recreation <br />Director Stevens anticipated 87.5% reimbursement from FEMA and the State of <br />Colorado (FEMA 75% percent and the State of Colorado 12' % %). <br />Council member Stolzmann inquired whether this amount was budgeted or would it <br />
