Howard wanted an ending date for the temporary use. <br /> <br />Anderson stated October 31, 1995. <br /> <br />Sisk suggested the wording in condition No. 2 read "...until application for building permit...", instead <br />of "...until issuance of building permit..." <br /> <br />Mayer wanted the conditions and terms under which "Temporary Use" refined so that it is not just <br />an ad hoc decision by Council. <br /> <br />Keany moved that Council approve Resolution No. 14, Series 1995, with the change to condition No. <br />2 to read "The Temporary use shall not commence until submittal of building plans for a permanent <br />office building on Lot 101 to the Building Department. Seconded by Lathrop. <br /> <br />Sisk offered a friendly amendment that they insert Lot 102 as opposed to Lot 2 in the title. <br />Howard offered a friendly amendment to include all of the other conditions listed on the Resolution. <br />Keany and seconder, Lathrop accepted the friendly amendments. All in favor. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION - EXTENSION OF A TEMPORARY USE PERMIT FOR THE <br />GARDEN PATH GARDEN CENTER <br /> <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated that the applicants were requesting an 18 month extension of <br />a temporary use permit to November 30, 1996. This would be the second extension, if granted. <br /> <br />Davidson called for the applicant's presentation. <br /> <br />Scott Sorenson, 1821 East Street, Louisville, Colorado, explained that the 18 month extension was <br />needed due to their inability to secure financing. The financial institutions informed them that they <br />would need additional time to build business performance to secure the required financing for the <br />permanent improvements. He presented 12 letters to Council from local business people and <br />customers, a letter from his banker, and one from an employee in support of the Garden Center. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council questions. <br /> <br />Mayer asked if all of the public improvements that connect to the property had been made. <br /> <br />Sorenson stated that there is still an 8" water main that needed to be extended to the north end of the <br />property and a curb and gutter on Hwy. 42 needed to be extended approximately 20'. <br /> <br />Howard asked about ADA compliance. <br /> <br /> <br />
